Perlenspiel games - Popcorn games in a presentable box

Perlenspiel, made by WPI professor Brian Moriarty, is a simple 2D tile-based Javascript engine made to allow programmers to quickly and easily get their designs working on the web. Two full courses revolved around designing a full game in 2 weeks with a specific set of instructions or a theme to adhere to, and for most of the people there (mine too) it was their first introduction to using JavaScript. With the very talented artist Dylan DeSimone as a partner we got a few gems I'm quite proud of, and the best "plug-in-and-play" games I have to show. Unfortunately the final versions were saved on his WPI website which was unceremoniously taken down the moment he graduated, but most of their near-final states are available to click and play below.

Fun fact about Perlenspiel games: all of them are open source. Simply change the .../game.html at the end of the search bar to .../game.js, and you can uncover the inner workings of any of them for yourself.

Roll Yer Boulder
A unique twist on tilt / ice-rink games, with a few new tricks and puzzles added in.
Click to select levels or use the menu on the left of the screen, and arrow keys to roll yer boulder.

Revenge of the Sportsball 2 2K GOTY HD Edition + DLC
A 2.5D golfball simulation with gravity / wind physics and a goofy sports theme. The polished version with
finalized character art was unfortunately lost to a corrupted hard drive, but this version is functionally complete.
Only the mouse is used, click on buttons or the game field to play

A Miner's Life
A 2D mining simulator, filled with digable terrain, gems to collect, minecarts to ride and walls to excavate.
Click to move around, and hover over anything that looks like a button for more information.

Beowulf
A recreation of the epic story of Beowulf, with some creative liberties. We got a lot of slack for adding in so much
pixel art and animation, and is currently an example of whats NOT allowed in a Perlenspiel game.
Arrow keys to move around, mouse clicks to attack durring fight scenes, and bump into people to talk to them.
